Obama wants to retire a further 18 prisoners Guantanamo transfer
President Barack Obama wants for his resignation eighteen prisoners from the military prison of Guantanamo Bay, moving.
The number of prisoners drops once again, but the promise of Obama in 2008 did, even before taking office, to the controversial prison in Cuba to close is not successful. There are currently 59 prisoners.
Employees of Obama in the Congress informed that the eighteen prisoners to different locations will be sent to: Italy, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. This would need to happen for the inauguration on January 20, 2017, the newly elected president, Donald Trump.
This is the last time that prisoners are transferred can be during the presidency of Obama, as this thirty days advance notice is given. Trump has already said that Guantanamo remains open. He wants the prison, “feeding bad guys”.
