The New York City police department responded to a Harlem home for a welfare check at about 9:20 p.m. Wednesday and found the bodies of a couple and their 5-year-old daughter, and The New York city Police Department, told Fox News on Thursday.

By Jennifer Schlecht, 42, and Abaynesh Schlecht Tedla, 5, were found dead with neck trauma that is in the apartment on 121st Street, which, according to the researchers, who added that the mother’s body was found in a bathroom, and the little girl was found in an upstairs bedroom.

The child’s father, 46-year-old Yonathan Tedla, was found dead in an upstairs bedroom.

Law enforcement sources told Fox News Tedla, apparently hung himself from a door, after cutting the throat of his wife and daughter. The 5-year-old, was partially decapitated, and Schlecht, was beheaded, the sources said.

It was not immediately clear how long the three had been dead.

Police sources also told Fox News that the couple was going through a divorce, and that she had been scheduled to appear in court on the day on which their relics were discovered.

Concerned family members called 911 and asked the police to conduct the check on well-being.

Schlecht, who worked for the United Nations Foundation, had reportedly called her parents on Sunday, the result of the fear for her child’s safety.

“She was in tears for a hopeless case,” by Jennifer Schlecht, the father of Kenneth, told The New York Times. “She wasn’t sure if he should continue with the threats.”

Tedla is often seen with a smile while carrying his daughter on his shoulders, according to the center.

Schlecht, worked for the United Nations Foundation, the Family Planning 2020 project, who said that she had been working in international relief and development, including specialized work in reproductive health and child marriage.

“Today, we remember our colleague, Jennifer Schlecht. Jennifer has dedicated her entire career to advocating for women and girls. We will all remember it for her life, and that of the thousands of lives they have enriched it, instead of the horrible way she died,” the organisation is spread out.

“In addition to a caring, loving mother, and her [Schlecht’s] contribution to the lives of women and girls, including those living in crisis situations, it is extraordinary,” Beth Schlachter, Family Planning 2020’s executive director, said in a statement. “They have to die in such a cruel, cruel circumstances, it is to be understood, I’ll be absolutely devastated.”

The police said that there was no known history of domestic violence.
