The mayor of New York Bill de Blasio, the Rev. Al Sharpton and celebrities including Mark Ruffalo, Michael Moore and Rosie Perez are planning a rally in New York state-the President, Donald Trump, said on the eve of his inauguration, organizers on Saturday.
The organizers say they expect thousands of New Yorkers to participate in the event, put together by groups, including Greenpeace and the liberal activist organization MoveOn, on Trump’s home turf.
The demonstration as a kick-off to organize the opposition to Trump policy, and support for cities, which have their own approach to immigration, climate change, health, workers ‘ rights and other issues.

“We send a message to Washington that we will fight at every step, discrimination and harmful policy, today, tomorrow, and every day,” Ruffalo said in a statement. He said the participants ” come together to stand for another, so we will do every day to protect the values we hold dear.”
The demonstration is also intended to spotlight the actions that the cities can locally, to reduce the work on the own carbon dioxide emissions.
The Republican President-elect’s choice for Environmental Protection Agency administrator, current Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt, questioned the science shows that the planet is warming and that human emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases are to blame.
Protesters plan to rally outside the Trump-developed Trump International Hotel and Tower. It is a half mile from the Trump Tower, the President-elect’s home.
