NVWA alerts for earring with high amount of cadmium
The Dutch Food and consumer product safety Authority (NVWA) warns of earrings from the brand Lilly&June and MKM, which are sold at drugstores and bijouteriewinkels.
The pendants contain a high amount of cadmium, which is a danger for the health.
It comes to the “french hook”, a pendant with stone, with reference W3329, according to the NVWA. The earrings are sold between 3 February and 27 november last year.
Cadmium belongs to the heavy metals. Too much cadmium in the body may include kidney damage and bones weaken. Customers can the earrings back to the store. They then get their money back.
