North Korea’s longtime spy chief and Secretary of state Mike Pompeo had dinner together in New York City on Wednesday evening, as the rogue nation shady official tries to save a possible summit between the two countries is the market leader.

Kim Yong Chol, Kim ‘s infamous right hand man and Deputy Chairman of the ruling workers’ party, met with Pompeo, after he arrived at JFK International Airport around 2 p.m. Wednesday.

The North Korean visit, the highest official from the Communist nation to the US since the year 2000.

Kim and Pompeo together for more than an hour, and planned a “day of meetings” for Thursday, sat, the White house said.

The Secretary of state, tweeted the two were eating a “good work” with “the Steak, corn, and cheese on the menu.”

Trump tweeted on Tuesday about Kim’s imminent visit, which comes ahead of a possible 12. The June summit between the North and the U.S. “We have wrote a great team, together, for our talks with North Korea,” Trump. “Meeting on the summit, and more.”


Kim, believed to be 72, and Pompeo’s talks will mainly focus on the postponement of the summit, the Trump canceled last week following the hostile rhetoric from the North.

Pompeo on Wednesday tweeted that he was “looking forward to the encounter with the” Kim ” about a possible summit, and noted that the State Department is obligated to “complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.”
