Nokia buys software maker Comptel for 347 million euros

Phone company Nokia, the Finnish Comptel for 347 million euros. Comptel specializes in the development of software providers for their networks.
That has Comptel announced. When the acquisition is 3,04 million euro paid in cash. Comptel continues after the acquisition, a separate company within Nokia.
The sale must still be officially approved by other competition authorities. Comptel expects that the acquisition in the second quarter of 2017 will be completed.
Comptel says that 20 percent of all global mobile data by their software is processed. The company would offer programs at more than 300 providers in over 90 countries.
Nokia sells itself, all longer equipment for networks of the operators is used. With the acquisition, the company aims to also specialize in the software on this generally expensive equipment is installed.
Comptel would after the acquisition, the faster the American market to enter, where Nokia already has many customers.
