No notice to victims of release of offenders by software error
A software error is the release of a significant number of perpetrators of serious crimes not reported to the mayors and victims. That has secretary of state, Klaas Dijkhoff Wednesday announced.
According to Dijkhoff is from mid-2016 to January this year, 21 times no notification is made to the mayors. It is intended that the mayors will be informed about the social reintegration of perpetrators of serious acts of violence and zedenzaken.
The Information point Detentieverloop (IDV), that victims must be aware of this, got through the error even 128 times no message. Thus, according to Dijkhoff eventually three victims are not informed in timely manner.
