No crime against the citizen arrest of the suspects, a teenager

CLEVELAND County prosecutors in Cleveland say three adults accused of chasing a pair of teenage alleged car thieves, leaving them in the trunk of a vehicle and delivering them to the police should not be confronted with a crime against.

Cleveland.com reports Cuyahoga (ky-uh-HOH’-guh) County prosecutors have referred the case back to the city officers of justice. They will decide whether the meeting earlier this month merits crime against adults — a woman and her two sons.

The police records indicate someone fired at the teens and held them at gunpoint. County Prosecutor Michael O’malley said investigators believe that the shooter was a fourth person they are still trying to identify.

O’malley, says citizen arrests are legal, but it is better to let the law enforcement officials handling such cases.

The teens are charged with vandalism, and receiving stolen goods.
