Nita Lowey, long-time democratic member of Parliament and the house appropriations Chairman, to retire

Rep. Nita Lowey, D-NY, 16-term Congressman and Chairman of the house appropriations Committee, announced Thursday that after the elections in 2020.

Lowey, who represents New York’s 17th constituency, for example, is located in the southeastern part of the state – including Westchester, Queens and the Bronx, for the record, you are using your 31-year-old career and promised to continue the representation of their constituents by 2020.

“Thank you to the people in my district for the opportunity to serve,” she said in a statement. “I will continue to work as hard as always with the same optimism and energy by the end of the term of office in Congress.”

Lowey was the first woman to be Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, and has defended, laws on drunk driving, gender equality, and support for Israel.

“I am particularly grateful for the commitment and wisdom of my current and former employees in New York, in Washington and on the House Appropriations Committee,” she wrote. “I look forward to more time with my husband Steve and our family, who strongly supported my career in public service.”

Lowey retired, as the number of house GOP members, has not mounted an active for re-election, to decide, especially in Texas, where Rep. Mac Thornberry, R-Texas, recently became the sixth Republican to try a different concept. He is the 19 house Republicans are leaving Congress, including two members resigned.

Lowey’s district is not in danger, the red, as it is in a Democratic stronghold and they have won their recent re-election of 88 percent to 12 percent. There has been chatter that Chelsea Clinton, daughter of Bill and Hillary Clinton, who might be interested in the seat.

The news, have speculated the reports, the youngest Clinton could stand for the 17 County town, according to Lowey in the rest, and the Clinton’s hometown Chappaqua, currently represented by Lowey. Clinton was an outspoken critic of President Trump, since her mother lost, to lead him in the election in 2016 and would probably be the highest recognition value of each democratic candidate for the seat they were.
