Nick Cave and his Bad Seeds bags on Friday 13 October at the Antwerp Sportpaleis. They present the tragic picture Skeleton Tree.
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have announced that they, after concerts in Australia and the US, also Europe will be touring. Also Belgium is on the list: on Friday 13th October, they are in the Sportpaleis in Antwerp.
Caves sixteenth studio album, the Skeleton Tree, stood at the Belgian release immediately on number one. The album was preceded by the film One More Time With Feeling about the making of the album.
Skeleton Tree was made in tragic circumstances. Arthur, the 15-year-old son Cave, died after a fall from a cliff. That loss led to a dark, grief-stricken plate. Or as our man put it: “music as an open wound, which is merely with salt is to be treated.’
The last concert of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds in our country dates back to 2013. When they played at Rock Werchter and in the Lotto Arena.
Tickets for the concert in the Antwerp Sportpaleis will be from Friday 17 February to 10 a.m. and are available via proximusgoformusic.be.
