The Governor showed up for his resignation after a leaked chat, in which he offended, allegedly, the women and the victims of hurricane Maria.
The politicians of the next line of the revealing of the post Puerto Rico’s governor, according to Ricardo Rosselló announced his resignation last week-Sunday it has run out of “no interest” in the position.
The Minister of justice Wanda Vázquez would keep, Puerto Rico, the second woman, the job of the Governor.
However, in a tweet on Sunday, Vazquez said, “I have no interest in occupying the position of the Governor.”
She continued, “It is a Constitutional opinion. I hope that the Governor identified, and determines a candidate for the position of Secretary of State in front of the 2. August,” the day, Rosselló, a Democrat and a member of the territory’s New Progressive y (PNP), is expected to step down.
She added that she said, the embattled Governor about their desires.

Vázquez, the comments about four days after Rosselló announced he will forego his post on the coming Friday, there will be the first Governor to resign in the history of the U.S. island territory. Many Puerto Ricans have also called for their removal in the midst of the crisis.
The embattled governor’s decision came after more than a week of protests against him, egged on by a leak of crude and offensive chat messages between Rosselló and his top advisers. In front of Rosselló, the announcement of his own departure, legislators, threats of impeachment.

The leaked discussions, reports leaked that the Governor showed himself mocking-women, homosexuals, political opponents and victims of hurricane Maria.
In a message, Rosselló allegedly called New York politician of Puerto Rican descent, a “w—e” and described another as a “daughter of the ex–h -.” A chat included vulgar references to Latin pop star Ricky Martin of his homosexuality.
More than a dozen officials have already resigned, because the chats were running to replace including the former foreign Minister, Luis Rivera Marin, who would be the next in the series Rosselló, to the territory of the United States Constitution.

The island has tried to the restructuring of part of the $ 70 billion in debt and finished with a 13-year recession, which has led to an exodus of nearly half a million people on the U.S. mainland in the last ten years. Many Puerto Ricans were upset about the resulting pension cuts, school closings and other cost-saving measures.
