New York museum organises gala for Julianne Moore
The museum of modern art in New York (MoMA), is organizing in november a gala in honor of actress Julianne Moore. According to the curator of the MoMA, the 56-year-old Moore is a courageous and versatile actress that is considered the inspiration for many current and upcoming actors.
“Julianne Moore is the fearless champion of the film,” says curator Rajendra Roy in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.
“There seems to be no challenge too difficult for her and she sets the bar continually higher. She is an inspiration to many actors and actresses all over the world”, continues the curator.
Moore won the 2015 Oscar for best actress for her role in Still Alice. She was a couple of times previously nominated for the golden statuette, including for her acting in Boogie Nights in 1998, and The Hours in 2003.
The MoMA each year organises a gala evening in honour of a movie star. Actor Tom Hanks, actresses Cate Blanchett and Tilda Swinton were previously in the limelight by the museum.
Julianne Moore is from October to see in the film Suburbicon, under the direction of George Clooney.
