New York City women in search of a chemical attack, an attack on a taxi driver

The New York City police said they were looking for a group of four women who robbed a taxi driver, allegedly after throwing an unknown chemical in his face.

The taxi driver, 47, was the removal of the women from Atlantic Avenue in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn at around 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 23, when the alleged assault took place, WPIX-TV reported, citing the police investigation. The women were all believed to be in their 20’s.

As she stepped out of the cab, the women allegedly threw an unknown chemical substance into the eyes of the driver and robbed him of $200, police said. The women escaped on foot down the avenue.

The victim was rushed to a hospital and is in stable condition, WCBS-TV reported. It was unclear what kind of injuries he has suffered. An update on his condition was not immediately available.

The police have released surveillance photos of the women and asked anyone with information about this incident to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline. A $2,500 reward was offered for information.

The police said that all the necessary information would be kept confidential.
