New York City firefighter dies after fall while fighting the blaze

The DEVELOPMENT of A New York City firefighter died Thursday after he fell several stories while a glow in the borough of Queens.

Officials say the unidentified firefighter was pronounced dead at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center.

The fire broke out in a five-story apartment building in the Ridgewood section of Queens at around 2:30 a.m. local time and was brought under control about 30 minutes later.

The New York Post reported that the firefighter fell from a ladder, a bucket, while he tried to extinguish the flames.

“He was done with inspecting the building, the ladder to come back but then it sucks. He fell down,” a neighbor told the newspaper. “We were all in shock. I think he was in shock also because he didn’t even scream when he fell.”
