“Franky Zapata” from the French Marseille, after previously the Flyboard thought to have, an ingenious flying machine, above the water: the Hoverboard.
Since the introduction of the ‘Flyboard’ in 2012, there is a lot of interest in this new branch of water sports: fly on hydro.
A little more than 2 years later presents Franky now his new “Hoverboard” with a video on Youtube. The Youtube movie is within one week, more than two million views.
“It is actually a kind of cross between surfing and flying,” says the manufacturer Zapata Racing. “You come up to about 5 metres high and reaches speeds of about 30 / 35 miles per hour.”
Just as the older brother, the Flyboard, the Hoverboard is powered by a Jet-ski with at least 100 hp. This pumps water through an 18-foot-long hose to the Hoverboard, and then, under high pressure leaking, resulting in an upward / forward force.
