New peace talks Myanmar start
In Myanmar Wednesday, new peace talks began, which put an end to one of the longest armed conflicts in the world.
The discussions between the government and various rebel groups under the leadership of Nobelprijswinnaaar Aung San Suu Kyi and takes place in the capital, Naypyitaw. The 71-year-old Suu Kyi has been since april, 2016 government of Myanmar.
The peace talks will last four days. The conflict has existed since the country separated from Britain in 1948. Then there were also some autonomous regions under the authority of the new government. These regions say years to be exploited and oppressed because of the mineral resources.
