New national system for the control of the number of verwekkingen zaaddonor
A new national system will be more stringent to ensure the maximum number of 25 verwekkingen of a spermadonor.
In an interview with the AD announces Joop Feast, chairman of the Foundation donor data Artificial insemination (SDKB), the new system.
The measure is a response to the controversy that arose after large groups of children to find out that they have the same causative agent.
The official with the sperm of a donor a maximum of 25 children are conceived. However, in several clinics as Bijdorp in Barendrecht and hospital Rijnstate in Arnhem, was this standard in the past exceeded.
Meanwhile, all clinics are obliged to each treatment, to register with the SDKB, but these are not exchanged between the centres. Donors can therefore still register at multiple transplant organ banks, and more than 25 children raise up.
In the new system that should be avoided. The SDKB can immediately see if a donor has already elsewhere been registered and how many children with his seed, his begotten.
“If a donor is Maastricht, in the reports and in Utrecht for 25 children, he can not continue. The system will close and he can never be the donor,” said the chairman of the SDKB.
