New airport in Berlin is there only in the spring of 2018

The opening of the new airport of Berlin is again delayed. The Berlin Brandenburg Airport was originally due to open in 2011, but additional costs, planningsfouten and construction defects led to repeated postponement.

Officially the deadline is still the end of 2017, but a source reports to the German press agency DPA that this is no longer feasible. The board of directors is aiming for now in the spring of 2018. It would go to the fifth postponement of the opening. A spokesman of the airport responds that in January, an exact date will be announced.
