Khalid Karami seemed to be in the opening stages of the second half, the victory for the home team to secure, but a small fifteen minutes before time gave Dario Dumic the visitors have a point.

Both teams shoot very little with the draw. Excelsior continues with sixteen points, the number fourteen of the Eredivisie and NEC is now with nineteen points from seventeen matches to be found on the eleventh place.

Excellent

Excelsior started out well and dived in the first ten minutes a few times hazardous for the purpose of NEC. That resulted in a goal. Kevin Vermeulen got the ball on the edge of the penalty area and operated the detached Elbers. Who had no problem to get the ball within tap: 1-0.

Excelsior then took gas back and that gave NEC the chance to get back into the game. The Nijmegenaren jumps aren’t always good with the space provided for, all had midfielder Julian von Haacke halfway through the first half or the second half on his head. He stumbled, however, goalkeeper Tom Muyters.

Just before half-fell out of the nothing, still 1-1. Cave took out of about twenty metres hard, and had Muyters no chance.

Offside

After rest started Excelsior again and almost immediately it was touch. Again was Vermeulen on the basis of the hit. He gave the ball well to the opstomende play Karami, who put the ball in the far corner shot: 2-1.

Excelsior failed the duel, and then decide. So hit Vermeulen the pole, and then Nigel Hasselbaink in the rebound, however, touch shot, but that hit was because of offside disapproved.

NEC then came back again. Defender Dumic shot the ball at the second pole hard inside one of the few major opportunities that the team managed to create. In particular, Excelsior then went on the hunt for the winning hit. That resulted in some kansjes on, but not the desired goal.
