Nationalists Basque country win regional elections
The nationalists in the Basque country have Sunday’s regional elections in the Spanish autonomous Basque region won.
The Basque Nationalist y (PNV) received according to the first poll after the ballot boxes were closed the most support.
In Galicia, the centre-right people’s y (PP) of premier Mariano Rajoy the absolute majority. The exitpoll pointed out that the margin with the socialists (PSOE) even a little bigger.
The regional elections are important for the government in Madrid. There is in stretching speculate on how the socialists of the PSOE it differently. If the result is disappointing, the party leader Pedro Sánchez to influence eroded.
Sánchez blocks so far a new term of office of the Spanish prime minister Rajoy. The current stalemate has Spain since the end of 2015, not a fully-fledged functioning government.
