Federal prosecutors granted immunity to David Pecker, the CEO of the National Enquirer, which is an old Donald Trump pal, in the Michael Cohen research.
Back in June, Fox New reported federal government had sued the publisher of the National Enquirer for records related to the $150,000 payment to the former Playboy model Karen McDougal for the rights of her story, alleging an affair with Donald Trump. The payment was part of a catch-and-kill-scheme to bury her story in advance of the 2016 election.
Pecker was granted immunity in the investigation of Cohen’s trades in that catch and kill regulation as well as the hush-money payment with porn star Stormy Daniels, who also claims that she had an affair with the Trumpet, a meeting with the prosecutors to describe Cohen’s involvement in the hush money arrangements brokered ahead of 2016 election, the Wall Street Journal today.
Cohen plead guilty to campaign finance violation, to say that, in the direction of now-President Trump, he has arranged to pay the hush money to Daniels, the co-ordination of the National Enquirer’s catch and kill regulation re McDougal. Cohen said that he has done, both to influence the election. Both women’s stories were crushed shortly before the elections.

Pecker played a crucial role in the capture and killing of the scheme; the information he gave prosecutors was instrumental in reeling in Cohen, according to the press.
In a pre-recorded interview that was broadcast on Fox & Friends this morning, Trump insisted Cohen the payment to Daniels and deal-wrangling re McDougal is not a crime because he paid the money himself and not taking the campaign funds.
In the tape released by Cohen earlier, he and the Trumpet hear talk about Cohen having to “open up a company for the transfer of all information about out friend David.”
