Musical Bridges or Madison County returns
The hitmusical Bridges or Madison County returns in the summer of 2018 back in the Dutch theatre.
The show, which earlier this year by the press and the public praised at the end of June for two weeks exclusively in the DeLaMar Theater.
Actors René van Kooten, Lone van Roosendaal and Annick Boer will once again be in the piece. The Bridges or Madison County is based on the novel by Robert James Waller and the movie starring Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep.
The story tells about the brief affair between the Italian-American mother of Francesca (Roosendaal) and the unfettered photographer Robert (Van Kooten) in the sixties in the rural areas of the United States. It turns their world completely upside down. The script is by Pulitzer Prize-winner Marcia Norman (The Color Purple).
Composer Jason Robert Brown is regarded as one of the most important musicalvernieuwers of the past ten years. The direction and translation are in the hands of Koen van Dijk. Of Roosendaal and Van Kooten are Sunday night to hear on the Uitmarkt with a number from the show.
