LAS VEGAS – A murder suspect whose escape from a Nevada police station, and recapture four days later, attracted intense interest is charged in a second murder and the police identifies him as the lone suspect in a third murder.
Alonso Perez, the court-appointed attorney, Clark Patrick, declined Monday to comment on the cases, and a number of others pending against Perez.
Patrick says Perez plans to fight the charges against him.
Perez has been jailed since his recapture in September, after the breaking of the handcuffs and escape during the interrogation by North Las Vegas police about the shooting of a man at a local fast-food restaurant.
Police say that just hours after the killing, Perez fatally shot a motorcyclist in a neighborhood confrontation.
An arrest report in that case identify Perez as the suspect in yet another fatal shooting a week earlier.
