Mueller probe has cost taxpayers more than $25 million, the expenditure report shows

Special Counsel Robert Mueller releases, court documents filed on Paul Manafort and Michael Cohen; panel response to ‘The Ingraham angle.’

Taxpayers have spent more than $25 million on Special Counsel Robert Muller Russia the investigation, according to the latest expenditure report, released Friday.

Between 1. April and Sept. 30 of this year, the special counsel spent $4.56 million on the investigation.

“The Department will continue to devote to, and use of, resources to maintain strong program and financial management controls,” the report stated. “Management takes its program and financial accountability seriously and will ensure that the funds are used in an accountable and transparent manner.”

$4.56 million, $2.9 million Euro went to “personnel Compensation and Benefits” – $1 million of it went to special counsel for employees ‘ wages and benefits, and 1.9 million refund dollars, “” for the justice Department, the employees on the Details of the special counsel ‘ s office.

The special counsel’s office spent $942,787 on “Rent, communications and utilities,” almost $60,000 to the printing, supplies and materials; and Müller-team spent $580,098 on Transport and travel, with the majority of the funds in “temporary duty relocation of DOJ employees detailed” to the special counsel ‘ s office.

The special counsel’s office spent $310,732 for the “contractual services”, which was the report in the first line for “IT-services”.

The report also keeps track of Department of justice expenditures in separate investigations, which amounted to $3.9 million Euro for this period. The report notes that the cost “would be the cost of the investigations, regardless of the existence of the [Special Counsel’s Office].”

Müller examines the Russian interference and possible collusion with trump campaign associates during the 2016 presidential elections.

Between 1.
