Msf evacuates staff in the CAR after the brutal murder of baby
Aid organisation Doctors without Borders (Msf) has her staff in a clinic in the Central African Republic (CAR) have to be evacuated after a brutal murder on a baby.
Two armed men attacked on Tuesday the hospital in Zemio in and killed a baby. The girl was in the arms of her mother when she was shot in the head. Msf decided to the team in Zemio to the capital Bangui to evacuate.
Msf states that, “the brutality of this attack, both the random nature of the violence in the CAR lets see if the disturbing increase of it”.
According to Doctors without Borders takes the space for aid organizations, now the security situation is deteriorating. “Because we have our team to have to withdraw from Zemio, thousands of people in the entire region no longer have access to adequate medical care.”
The CAR belongs to the poorest countries in the world. Since 2013 there is a civil war between the christian Anti-Balaka and the muslim rebel group Seleka. More than 20,000 people are to Zemio fled, according to Msf.
