Mourinho passes through Rooney’s duel with Leicester City
Manchester United manager José Mourinho has captain Wayne Rooney passed up for the thuisduel with Leicester City on Saturday afternoon. Daley Blind is still in the base.
Rooney is the last few weeks, well under fire in the English media. That criticism swelled only after the three defeats in a row United last week against Manchester City, Wigan and Watford.
Mourinho defended his captain Friday still at his press conference, but had already intimated that he wouldn’t be scared to Rooney outside the base.
Juan Mata, who at the beginning of the season have little future seemed to have at Old Trafford, is now established as a ‘number 10’ in the back of striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Blind is against reigning champion Leicester City again the full of United. The last months was the old-following his departure to chelsea almost always central in the defence. There are now Eric Bailly and captain Chris Smalling. Full Luke Shaw is injured.
Rooney not listening to ‘nonsense’ criticism of the outside world
