José Mourinho after the League Cup victory over Northampton Town settled with his critics. The Portuguese believes that journalists quickly forget what he has in his career already.
The Portuguese grabbed the victory to deal with those who last week criticised after United against Manchester City, Wigan and Watford three games in a row lost.
“We had a bad week. I know that there are many Einsteins walking around” began Mourinho compared to MUTV after the 1-3 victory.
“I know that they have tried for sixteen years of my career to make them disappear. They have tried the incredible history of Manchester United to disappear by focusing on a bad week, with three poor results. But that is football today, full of Einsteins.”
“I can absolutely understand that the fans are disappointed over the past week,” continued the Portuguese. “But I know for sure that they are Saturday against Leicester City behind us.”
Thanks to goals from Michael Carrick, Ander Herrera and Marcus Rashford placed the club from Manchester are Wednesday evening for the next round of the second English cup. In the next round awaits the spicy encounter with a fellow-townsman Manchester City.
