Motorcrosser Herlings set to disappoint in MXGP debut in Qatar

Motorcrosser Jeffrey Herlings is Saturday on his debut in the MXGP eighteenth become of 21 riders. Allowing the 22-year-old Dutchman is somewhat disappointing.
The triple werelkampioen in the MX2 class started strong in the first round of the seizoensopening in Qatar, and rode a time sixth, but fell halfway through the race back.
Glenn Coldenhoff, the other Dutchman at the highest crossniveau, came in the first round of the net for his KTM teammate Herlings as fifteenth on the line.
Antonio Cairoli won the first race at the circuit of Losail. The Italian KTM led from start to finish. The Belgian rider Clement Desalle and the Slovenian Tim Gajser were allowed to take the stage.
Herlings came two weeks ago, fell and broke a metacarpal. He rides with a brace on his hand. Later Saturday, at 19.00 hours, there will be a second round in Qatar.
