ASHLAND, Ohio Ohio A woman accused of returning to work after her 8-year-old son repeatedly shot and wounded his 4-year-old sister at home has been indicted on child endangering and evidence tampering charges and pleaded not guilty.
An Ashland County judge refused a request Tuesday to the only 27-year-old Alyssa Edwards’ bond, which blocks the contact with her children in the case.
The plaintiffs oppose the granting of contact and say that they don’t want the children to be affected as witnesses.
Prosecutors say Edwards checked the girl’s injuries after March 3, shoot at her, Hayesville home in north central Ohio, and then back to work on a horse farm and not the girl to go to a hospital until hours after the shooting.
They say that the girl is no longer in the hospital and is in the possession of the services for children.
