Authorities in Frisco, Texas, discovered a mother and her dead child in parked on Saturday while conducting a welfare check, police said.
A mother and her dead baby was found in a parked car in northeast Texas on Saturday in what authorities believe was a murder and attempted suicide, authorities said in a press release.
The mother and her child were found during a welfare check by the police and fire department around 6:00 pm on Saturday in Frisco, Texas, approximately 30 miles north of Dallas.
The child was pronounced dead at the scene and the mother was rushed to the hospital in an unknown situation, KTVT reported.

Their identity is not released to the public because of an ongoing investigation. The authorities investigate the case of a murder and attempted suicide and believe that it is an isolated incident. No further details were released.
