Moszkowicz loses in appeal proceedings concerning The nership
The family Moszkowicz is again to be in the wrong by the Court of appeal. Robert Moszkowicz wanted a ban on the broadcasting of the television series The Firm, which was inspired by the life of the advocatenfamilie.
At the beginning of January it was already clear that the family brought against the VPRO, the makers of the series, had lost. Tuesday was the broadcaster announced that on appeal it is determined that the broadcasting of the series just according to plan can take place.
The family is of the opinion that the series infringes on the copyright of Robert Moszkowicz, the father of the family. He described his story in the autobiography The street fighter. Also he argued that the series of his honor and good name would affect.
The lawyers of broadcaster and tv producer Dutch Mountain Film showed already know that the series was “very different” than the book and many different sources it is based.
A further substantiation of the judgment of the Amsterdam Court of appeal will follow within a week, it is already known that all the claims of Moszkowicz are rejected. Also, he is again sentenced to the costs of the proceedings, which have now been reached 21.986 euro, to pay.
The series is on 25 January start.
