MORNING BRIEF: Trump meets with Pope Francis in Vatican city

Pope Francis and President Trump–two of the most recognizable people in the world– met for 30 minutes at the Vatican on Wednesday where the two discussed topics of immigration to the Monday of the terrorist attack in the U. K.

Trump was accompanied by his wife, his daughter Ivanka, her husband Jared Kushner and U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.

As soon as the two shake each other’s hand, they were in the pope’s private study and sitting across from each other. Trump told the pope that it was “a very great honor.”

The man who British police say blew himself up as a jam-packed concert was late in Manchester, England Monday night is believed to have travelled to Syria and had “proven” links with ISIS.

France the minister of the interior, Gerard Collomb said on Wednesday that the British and French intelligence services have information that Salman Abedi, 22, was to Syria, but it is not clear whether he was apart of a larger network of attackers.

Collomb spoke with the British Prime Minister Theresa May and said that the two countries should continue to cooperate closely on counter-terrorism efforts, despite great Britain in anticipation of the exit of the European Union.

The House Of Representatives Paul Ryan, R-Wis., praised President Trump’s budget blueprint Tuesday evening, told Fox News’ “The Story with Martha MacCallum” and that “the aim and the goal is right on target.”

The blueprint is drafted by OMB Director Mick Mulvaney has been criticized by Democrats and Republicans both for the proposed $3.6 billion in cuts from a variety of benefit programs, domestic agencies and war spending over the next ten years. That proposed cuts of more than $600 billion in Medicaid payments and $191 billion in food stamp benefits.

DEATHS ON EVEREST

Sherpa rescue workers have the bodies of the four climbers in a tent on the highest camp on Mount Everest, raising the death toll as a result of this climb, season 10, authorities said Wednesday.

The bodies were found by a team of professionals who were there to recover the body of a Slovak mountaineer, who died at the weekend, Tourism department official Hemanta Dhakal said.

Uber on Tuesday admitted to underpaying the New York City drivers tens of millions of dollars for the past 2 1/2 years.
