Morgan Freeman highest cultural award in the USA

Actor Morgan Freeman will receive, on 22 september, the highest cultural award in the U.S., The National Medal of Arts, from the hands of president Obama, the White House, Wednesday known.
The award each year to people from the arts and cultural sector, issued a special contribution to the culture in the United States.
Freeman won the 2004 Oscar for best male supporting role for his acting in Million Dollar Baby by Clint Eastwood. In 1989 he won a Golden Globe as best actor for his role in the film Driving Miss Daisy.
The National Medal of Arts was established in 1984 and previous celebrities that the award received include the writer Stephen King, actress Meryl Streep and singer Dolly on.
In addition to actor Morgan Freeman received this year, among others, filmmaker Mel Brooks and composer Philip Glass, the gold medal from the hands of Obama.
