“More than 140,000 people in distress due to floods North Korea

A typhoon in August on North Korea, swept, has ensured that more than 140,000 people in need of help.

Certainly 107.000 people are without a home, reports the UN office for the coordination of emergency assistance (OCHA), according to BNO News.

By typhoon Lionrock emerged in the communist country floods that caused buildings collapsed. At least 133 people were killed and four hundred others are unaccounted for.

The worst damage was, according to the UN caused in North Korea’s Hamgyong province along the border with China. Many areas are still not accessible.

Furthermore, another 600,000 people in more than six countries suffer from the aftermath of the typhoon. They have no access to clean water, reports OCHA.
