Monty Python actor Terry Jones is suffering from dementia
The British comedian, writer and director Terry Jones, known for Monty Python, is suffering from dementia. With him is progressive aphasia, a brain disorder that the speech center attack, it has been established.
“This disease affects his ability to communicate, which he no longer is able to give interviews,” says a spokesman for the 74-year-old Jones against British media.
The news comes on the day that the organization of the BAFTA Awards, announced Jones a special award for his exceptional contribution to the film and television world. “Terry is proud and honored to be on this way to be recognized,” said the spokesman. According to him, he looks despite his illness, to the presentation, next month during a special ceremony.
Jones was in four films of the British komediegroep Monty Python not only involved as an actor but also as a director.
