Monty Python actor Terry Jones is suffering from dementia

The British comedian, writer and director Terry Jones, known for Monty Python, is suffering from dementia. With him is progressive aphasia, a brain disorder that the speech center attack, it has been established.

“This disease affects his ability to communicate, which he no longer is able to give interviews,” says a spokesman for the 74-year-old Jones against British media.

The news comes on the day that the organization of the BAFTA Awards, announced Jones a special award for his exceptional contribution to the film and television world. “Terry is proud and honored to be on this way to be recognized,” said the spokesman.
