A mother of two who was expecting to find her sons making a mess on a recent holiday and instead took her pre-school age, a son comforts his terminally ill infant brother, and capture the moment on camera. Sheryl Blanksby, who blogs and Instagrams under the name of Mrs. Chikee, said she heard her 3-year-old son William to tell of his brother Thomas that “everything is OK.”
#Throwback to when we were on our vacation. I was finished in the bathroom and the man was in the kitchen. The children were quiet, in particular, Mr. toddler. You know the rules about when the children are quiet. I tiptoes to the living room with my camera ready to capture what they are doing. I was expecting my baby covered in Nutella or something, but instead I saw this. My toddler is telling his baby brother ‘ Kuya (big brother) is here. Everything is ok”. #myboys #bestbigbrother #documentinglittlemoments #mybabyloves #myheartandsoul #luckymummy
“#Throwback to when we were on our vacation,” Blanksby, of Perth, Australia, wrote in a March 6 post. “I was ready in the bathroom and the man was in the kitchen. The children were quiet, in particular, Mr. toddler. You know the rules about when the children are quiet.”
Blanksby wrote that she had her toes in the room armed with her camera and prepared to find her younger son, to the order in a mess.

Blanksby and her husband, Jon, were devastated when doctors diagnosed Thomas with a malignant rhabdoid tumour at 11 weeks old in February. Blanksby had blogged in December about the joy Thomas delivered if the family “Rainbow Baby”, a term given to a child born after a miscarriage.
“The irony of life has hit my family so hard and everything has no meaning anymore,” Blanksby posted on 4 March. “It feels like yesterday that I was informed of the birth of our Rainbow Baby Thomas and here I write about his impending death.”

A GoFundMe page set up on behalf of the family, detailed diagnosis, to share, that Thomas underwent a surgery on his kidney for doctors determined his cancer was terminal.
“Watching my two sons together is a dream come true,” Blanksby wrote. “They are a family of four, has always been part of my dreams. It is now my reality and it is caught in this nightmare no family should be.”
Blanksby wrote that it is not clear how much time they have with Thomas, but that they plan to make as many memories as possible with him.
