Model Iskra Lawrence, who recently announced that she is pregnant with her first child, in the embrace of her pregnancy and the body’s struggle to accept the skin she’s in.

The mother-to-be, who has ever battled body dysmorphia and an eating disorder, saying that she now understands the beauty of her body and the strength that lies within.

“Well, I have to admit that I am in this pregnancy bod is really sexy. I feel really, really good…like, really, really, really, really good,” the 29-year-old British model told the CLIENTS.

“I knew that my body was unique and had a purpose. It makes it to the house. It’s like, goodness, this body is incredible.”

In an exclusive interview with Fox News on Friday, Lawrence said that she had been afraid that the changes in her body due to the pregnancy, it would be the “trigger” for her past struggles with an eating disorder.

“All of the changes in your body that are out of your control, it can lead to body image issues, or reignite a past of eating disorders, body dysmorphia,” she said, “so, when I found out I was pregnant with my first, friends of ED [eating disorder] community, and asked me how I was feeling in my body.”

“I was wondering, would you feel motivated? I would be scared to watch my body grow?” she added.

However, all of them, Lawerence said, as she settled into her pregnancy.

“I feel like my body is just my house, but it’s my baby’s at home and I would like to get it to do what it needs to make sure that it is the best best place for them,” she said. “I’m delighted and impressed with it now than ever before. However, I, too, am glad to be a part of the real, raw things, and if I have to go on this trip.”

Lawrence, who has more than four million Instagram followers and almost 200,000 YouTube subscribers, and built a successful brand of body positivity and self-love.

“The importance of the body and of the acceptance of me as someone who has struggled with body dysmorphia and an eating disorder … well, if you’ve seen it, all you want to do is to try and make sure that no one else is doing it,” she told AOL.

“Because we’re in a society where so many women are held back from chasing their dream, their dream job, a healthy relationship,” Lawrence added, “everything has its origin in the social perfection, and this is true for women, as our entire system is based on what we feel.”

Its mission is to empower women by embracing the diversity, beauty, and fashion is the reason why Lawrence has to be careful about the designers she chooses to wear and work with. It has recently partnered with designer Tanya Taylor for her outfit for the CFDA Vogue Fashion Awards.

“If you don’t know about the @tanyataylor she is a strong advocate for integration and as the high-end of of [sic] is one of the very few pieces are to [sic] be a size 22,” she shared in a recent post to her followers. “Thank you for all that you do for my love.”

Taylor is back in praise to Lawrence for the use of its influence in the acceptance of all body types.

“You’ve been an inspiration,” Taylor commented. “Thank you for being a wonderful wife, and a soon to be mommy!!”
