A suspect is in custody after he allegedly opened fire on a Mississippi highway.
The active shooter situation began Tuesday afternoon at the U. S 72, west of Slayden.
The shooting happened around noon. The man began to open fire on two vehicles on the highway.
One was a postman, while a woman is on her work in the other car.
Nor the victim was hit by bullets, and no injuries reported.
The researchers told Fox 13 the suspect broke into three houses after the shooting. He came into a wooded area and stayed in a house until about 3 pm, when the authorities were able to find him.
The suspect was identified by authorities as Brandon Chambers, 28.
Fox 13 is told that the suspect shot at two or three cars.
