A Minnesota couple have been charged with second-degree murder for neglect of a child after a 21-month-old son drowned in a bathtub while she is in the shop for two hours, authorities said Tuesday.

The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office said in a statement that surveillance images are logged to Sabina Pierre-Louis, 25, and Eddy Pierre-Louis, 54 at a Bloomington grocery store and a Walmart, leaving their three children alone in the house.

The prosecutors said the parents told the police that the children were asleep when she left for the shops. The couple took the children to stay until they get back.

When the parents returned home, they found their 9-year-old daughter was still asleep, but a 4-year-old was in the bathroom. The victim, a 21-month-old, Asher, Pierre, and Louis, was found floating in the bath, and the Eddy Pierre-Louis told the police, and the water came out of the kid’s mouth when he’s trying to POPULATE.

Asher, Pierre, Louis, was pronounced dead at Fairview Southdale Hospital.

The parents were expected to be in court on Wednesday.
