Minister Schippers increases age limit for ivf treatment

Women up to fifty years will be eligible for ivf treatment with a donoreicel or an egg for their 43rd is harvested. At this moment, the age limit at 45 years.
Minister Edith Schippers (public Health) supports the opinion of the Dutch Association for Obstetrics and Gynaecology (NVOG), she writes on Wednesday to the Second Room.
The position of the NVOG “increase the options for women and couples to have their desire for children is still in fulfillment to see,” said the minister. This way the risk is reduced that someone for such treatment abroad.
The fee does not change. Women up to and including the age of 43 years, get the ivf treatment will be reimbursed.
Last year, in the Netherlands 4765 ivf-babies were born, a record.
