Minister Kamp will visit Silicon Valley, with prince Constantijn
The cooperation between Dutch and American technology companies to strengthen, minister Henk Kamp (Economic Affairs) at the beginning of January to the United States.
Camp is during this economic mission, accompanied by prince Constantijn.
The prince is appointed as the special ambassador to innovative entrepreneurs from abroad to the Netherlands. Camp and Constantine visit the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the most important technology fair in the world.
Previously at this fair, for example, electric cars, and new versions of the Windows operating system is presented. This time, the Dutch Pavilion for the first time, about thirty Dutch startups.
The mission will also go to Silicon Valley, the global center for innovation that is known by the presence of companies like Google, Facebook, Apple, Intel and Tesla. Moreover, there are important universities like Stanford and Berkeley.
“We’ll go Dutch to help businesses present themselves and to build networks. And we also make sure that we important information from Silicon Valley to the Netherlands,” says Camp.
Prime minister Mark Rutte brought Silicon Valley at the beginning of this year a visit. A few months later sent the Silicon Valley Tax Directors Group, on behalf of eighty technology companies a letter with a warning.
The companies fear that the Netherlands, because of the approach of tax evasion less attractive for U.s. investors.
