(Reuters) – Microsoft Corp said on Thursday that it has nominated as the GlaxoSmithKline (gsk) Plc’s Chief Executive Officer, Emma Walmsley, to its board of directors.
The company said the former chairman of the board of management of BMW AG, Helmut Panke, and will not seek a re-election to the board of directors after his current term expires.
Charles Noski, former vice chairman of AT&T Inc. Bank of America Corp., is leaving the board of directors.
At the annual general meeting of shareholders, to be due on Dec.4.
The company’s shares were up 1.84% in after-market trading after rising to a record high during regular trading hours, after it announced a $40 billion share buyback plan.
