He struck it rich… for his parents.
A Michigan man who recently won $500,000 from a scratch-off lottery ticket that plans to use only $5,000 of the price and give the rest to his parents, state lottery officials said.

“My parents have done so much for me and my sister,” the 19-year-old, who asked to remain anonymous, said a lotto office press release. “Helping them take a big burden of their shoulders and mine.”
The man said that he bought the last $10 Gold Wild Time ticket at a Sunoco gas station in the vicinity of Lansing, and scratches it off in the shop, Fox 2 reported.
It was not immediately clear whether the sister would get a cut of the loot.
