NEW ORLEANS – the Former first lady Michelle Obama discusses her new memoir, “Still” as they kicked off the American Library Association’s annual conference in New Orleans.
Librarian of Congress Dr. Carla Hayden will moderate a conversation Friday with Obama at the city’s convention center.
Obama’s book tells the experiences that shaped her, from her youth on the South Side of Chicago to her years as a leader and her time in the White House. It is released in the US. through the Crown Publishing Group, a Penguin Random House division.
The publisher says: “‘Be’ is the very personal statement of a woman of soul and substance, which steadily defied the expectations — and whose story inspires us to do the same.”
The conference is expected to draw more than 15,000 participants.
