Michael Douglas is looking forward to the fans seeing the new “Ant-Man and Wasp” action film starring Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, and for reasons other than what you would expect.

The two-time Academy Award-winner wants people to break with their daily practices and to distract themselves from the world, even if it is just for a few hours.

“In a film like this is universally loved and appreciated in a time where our world falls apart and get so divisive and all this — to people all over the world, you know, the love of a movie, it makes me really happy to be a part of this industry,” Douglas told Fox News.

The 73-year-old “Wall Street” actor also couldn’t help but be amazed at the level of creativity and technology that went into the producing of a film the size of ‘ Ant-Man.”

“I’ve never seen a green screen CGI movie for the last time in my life,” Douglas said, laughing. “I have a whole new appreciation for acting when there is nothing, you know.”

“[I] realize now that I took it for granted, but I have a couple of scenes in this where I go in the quantum realm.” Douglas animated his point by shaking his body, acting out his reaction to how he did on the green screen.

Douglas continues, “There is nothing here. So I said, wow, these guys have a new relationship. This is really good acting, and I think it’s great, because although I’ve been able to two or three, or four in my career, you can never get enough comedy.”

Douglas also pointed out that he was able to fulfill a life long dream of sorts by working with Michelle Pfeiffer on the film.

“That was on my bucket list. I mean, to work with Michelle Pfeiffer — I don’t expect that we could work together,” he said. “it seemed like we worked together 40 years ago, but I was a happy man. I can cross that one time.”
