Michael Cohen, the ex-trump-fixer, who was sentenced to three years in prison, came to Capitol Hill Tuesday for the first of three congressional hearings this week, to witness where he is expected to start against his former boss.

Asked by reporters Tuesday what he hopes to hear from Cohen, Senate Intelligence Committee chairman Richard Burr, R-N. C., replied: “the truth.” But Burr added that Cohen has a questionable track record, when asked if he could believe Cohen or not.

A person with knowledge of the Cohen’s scheduled testimony before the House Oversight Committee, told the Wall Street Journal that Cohen will publicly accuse, trombone, criminal acts in respect of the hush money payments.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Cohen, Trump accused in his testimony of inflating or deflating the air to be a net asset to avoid in times of-control property.
Cohen will not be questioned about the ongoing investigation of Special Counsel Robert Mueller, or the house and Senate Intelligence Committees into alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian officials.
Last week, a Federal judge Cohen’s approved to push back request, the date he is scheduled to report to prison two months. Cohen’s attorneys had pushed for the postponement, said that he had recently shoulder learn about surgery and needed the additional time to complete physical therapy, as well as his congressional testimony
Cohen was originally scheduled to report to prison on July 6. To begin March, will serve a three-year sentence after he Finance pleaded guilty to the campaign and other violations in the last year. He is now scheduled to report to prison 6. May.
In December, Cohen’s prison was sentenced to three years after pleading guilty to campaign people Finance law violations, tax evasion and lying to Congress. He agreed to cooperate with the Prosecutor’s office as part of a deal.
The allegations against Cohen arose from two separate investigations – one by Federal prosecutors in New York, and the other by Special Counsel Robert Müller.
Both cases hold potential implications for Trump.
