Metropole Orchestra grabs again next Grammy for best jazzalbum

The Metropole Orchestra did Sunday night in addition to a Grammy seized. In the category of Best Jazz Vocal Album went on Cécile McLorin Salvant with the prestigious music prize off. She was awarded the prize for the album the Window.

The Metropole Orchestra congratulated the American jazz singer with the price.

Salvant and the orchestra worked in the 2016 all together. In August, a joint action is planned in The concert hall. This concert is a tribute to Nina Simone.

The Metropole Orkest was nominated for the album If You Really want. That album was made under the direction of Vince Mendoza, with vocalist and guitarist Raul Midón.

It was the eighteenth time that the orchestra a chance to win a Grammy. The orchestra went two times previously as the winner to house: in 2011, for 54, with John Scofield and in 2016 for Sylva with Snarky Puppy.

Many Grammy-winners were previously announced

Most awards will be in the night from Sunday to Monday during the uitreikingsshow in Los Angeles distributed, but due to the large number of categories, were the winners of some of the Grammy’s earlier in the day are already published.
