Metallica have set the tour off due to the recording of James Hetfield in rehab

Metallica needs to tour in Australia and New Zealand to cancel because lead singer James Hetfield is in rehab, is included. The band members are reporting via Twitter that the singer is to be treated for his addiction.

“As most of you know, but James already had years of a relationship. He must now, unfortunately, a treatment is started for recovery to work,” write Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo on social media.

The members of the band reach out to fans in Australia and New Zealand, and promises of delayed performances to make up for it when the health, Hetfield, and their schedules allow.

“We are shocked that we are in this awkward position, and especially to the loyal fans who have to travel long distances to see our shows in the country. We appreciate your understanding and support for the New. Thank you for being part of the Metallica family,” says the band.

Hetfield has brought, in 2001, for some months in a rehab. It was featured in the documentary film Metallica: Some kind of Monster, the 2004 was released.

As most of you probably know, our goal is to be the brother of James has been struggling with addiction on and off for many years. He has now, unfortunately, it had to re-enter a treatment program, to work on his recovery again.
