Meryl Streep honored by LGBT-ers
Actress Meryl Streep get in February an award from the Human Rights Campaign, the largest LGBT organization in the United States. She is geeërd for her iconic roles and her commitment to gay rights.
“Meryl Streep embodies everything a true ally of our community,” says president Chad Griffin at The Hollywood Reporter.
Streep played the lead in several movies that are popular among gay viewers. The historical drama’s Sophie’s Choice and Silkwood, here are some of the examples. Also, she played in the musicals Mamma Mia!, Into the Woods, and the film The Devil Wears Prada.
Stripe will get the so-called Ally for Equality Award, for “extraordinary efforts in the area of LGBTQ’. The ceremony is on 11 February during a ceremony in New York.
