Merriam-Webster adds up to 530 words in the dictionary, including the ‘tallboy’ and ‘dad ‘ joke’

Merriam-Webster gives you the freedom to truly express yourself.

So, if you want to slam a “tallboy” while drinking a “sesh” during a game of “pickleball” on your “vacay” — you can do it, as all of these terms have made it into the pages of the updated dictionary.

In the book, the editors announced that they will be more than 530 words-to-pages-in September, as well as 4,000-definition, etymology and the pronunciation of the revisions.

In addition to these words, the more inclusive the set (that is, a clear definition with regard to the accommodation of people who have been historically excluded from the extended definition. Below is the official word in the phrase “they are”, which has been updated in order to be recognized as a demonstrative pronoun, with a meaning: “is Used to refer to a person whose gender identity is binary.”

The new additions join the more than 640 new words that Merriam-Webster listed it in April, including “flake,” “garbage-time” and “on-brand” and “gender non-conforming,” and so on.
